Orthodontics for Children and Adults

At Clínica Dental Bermejo, located on Calle de la Cámara in Avilés, we offer invisible and traditional orthodontic treatments for children, teens, and adults to align teeth properly and improve both functionality and the aesthetics of your smile.

A well-performed orthodontic treatment ensures that teeth are positioned correctly, enhancing not only appearance but also overall oral health by optimizing the “bite,” or the way upper and lower teeth meet. Correct alignment helps prevent issues that arise from a poor bite, such as premature tooth wear, jaw pain, and difficulties with chewing or speaking.

Treatment Options

At Clínica Dental Bermejo, we offer two types of orthodontic treatments, tailored to each patient’s needs and preferences:

Traditional Braces

This technique is highly effective for correcting issues from mild to complex misalignments. Modern braces are more comfortable and discreet than previous generations, available in both metal and aesthetic versions, depending on your preference.

Invisible Aligners

For those who prefer a more aesthetic and removable option, invisible aligners are an excellent alternative. These nearly invisible, custom-made appliances allow teeth to gradually align without impacting everyday life. Additionally, aligners can be removed for meals and dental hygiene, providing maximum comfort and flexibility.

Orthodontics for All Ages

Orthodontics isn’t just for children. More and more adults are choosing to correct their smiles and improve their quality of life with orthodontic treatments. At Clínica Dental Bermejo, we recognize that orthodontics for adults presents specific challenges but also great benefits for dental health and aesthetics. We offer solutions tailored to all ages—from children who need early guidance for their growing teeth to adults seeking discreet improvements in alignment.

Early or Interceptive Orthodontics

It is advisable to assess children’s occlusion when their first permanent molar erupts, which typically occurs around the age of 6. Detecting issues at this early stage often allows us to take preventive measures, addressing potential problems in adulthood and simplifying a second phase of treatment once the child’s permanent teeth are fully developed.
