Fillings or Restorations
When restorations or fillings are performed because teeth have caries lesions, the procedure to follow consists of removing the carious tissue and then reconstructing the tooth. However, when restorations are performed due to wear or fractures, the volume and normal appearance of the tooth that has been lost is also replaced and recovered, but for reasons other than caries disease.
Root Canal Treatment
Sometimes the pulp tissue (vessels and nerves) inside the teeth is damaged. In these cases, it is necessary to remove it and then fill the roots of the tooth. This allows us to preserve deeply damaged teeth, avoiding extractions that are often unnecessary.
Professional Dental Cleaning
The purpose is to remove calculus ("tartar") attached to the teeth, as well as stains caused by diet, medication, tobacco or other substances.
Preventive Treatments
They include dental sealants, fluoride applications or other remineralizing agents in order to help strengthen tooth enamel and prevent future caries lesions or the advancement of demineralization and hypomineralization.
